§01What we store
IN SHORTSettings, audio mute and your arcade high scores. On your machine.
This site uses no cookies at all: not first-party, not third-party, not session ones. It keeps six keys in YOUR browser's local storage, and none of them travels to any server of ours: your visual settings (palette and effects), whether you muted the sound, the three arcade leaderboards (~), and a one-hour cache of the public GitHub telemetry the front page shows. There is one session key besides, which only remembers that you have seen the boot sequence. Language is no longer stored anywhere: it lives in the address — tombasoft.com or /en/ — which is what lets you share a page in the language you read it in.
§02How to clear it
IN SHORTClear site data in your browser. The site keeps working.
In your browser's privacy settings, clear site data for tombasoft.com. The site will keep working: the settings go back to their defaults and the arcade will forget your records — the factory AAAs will reclaim their throne. The language survives, because it was never stored: it is in the URL.
§03Why so little
IN SHORTBecause we don't need more. Distrust anyone who asks for more.
Because we don't need more. Any studio that asks you for tracking cookies on their website is lying when they say they respect your privacy. We prefer not to lie to you.
